Meet Cameron, an Army Reservist from Houston Texas. Cameron will be receiving an Associate of Science Degree with a concentration in Environmental Science.

During his time at SPC, Cameron was involved in various organizations including Collegiate 100, SPC’s basketball team and the Spirit and Pride Crew. He also served as the SPC mascot and recently earned the title of Mr. SPC 2019 during Homecoming.

I’ve realized that community college is a better step to take before a four-year university. SPC prepared me and helped me get accustomed to campus life,” he said.

Cameron will be continuing his education at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in their Environmental Science Program. His dream is to work for the City of Houston’s Parks & Recreation Department.

I’m going to miss the environment on campus and the involvement among students and faculty, I will always feel at home here… I love it,” he said.

Additionally, Cameron has completed the first two years of the four-year-long Army ROTC Program. He hopes to finish the last two years of the program at UTSA and looks forward to obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree while also receiving a Second Lieutenant Pin as he walks the stage. The Second Lieutenant Rank will allow Cameron to serve as an Army Officer.
